Many of us hold ourselves back because we firmly believe our abilities are finite. But what if our supposed limitations are just an illusion?
In THE POWER OF YOUR POTENTIAL John Maxwell identifies and examines the seventeen key capacities each of us possesses. Some we are born with, such as how we think or how we naturally relate to other people. The rest are choices, often unconscious, including our attitude or personal disciplines. All are expandable.
Maxwell gives clear and actionable advice on what we can do to improve in each of these areas. From learning to manage your emotions and increase your energy, to conquering procrastination and becoming more comfortable with taking risks, you will surpass your own expectations to become a better you than you ever thought possible.
I am a huge fan of anything John Maxwell. I love the series of books he is putting out that are small and on a topic. "The Power of Your Potential" is all about never limiting your ability. We all need to be aware of ourselves and our abilities to improve ourselves. When we have an awareness of who we are, what we need to work on, we can make daily choices to improve and reach our full potential. Daily habits and choices will take time to make, but once we make those choices, we can tap into huge potential. We do not need to have limits, nor should we place limits on our life. Seize every day and every choice! This book is inspiring and isn't a hard read. It is perfect for leadership and a great read to make you want to change habits. I really enjoyed it. I give this book 5/5 stars. A favorable review was not required for a review copy. All opinions expressed here are my own.
