The Pirate Bride (Daughters of the Mayflower #2) by Kathleen Y'Barbo

My Thoughts:
The Pirate Bride is the second book in Daughters of the Mayflower, but is written as a stand alone book. Additional books will be released throughout this series by different authors and I am excited to read them. I love that this keeps the books new from a different perspective with great history. They are exciting and fun to read. You'll enjoy the elements of faith, adventure and historical elements of these books.
This book was more light hearted than the first book in the series. The emotions never went super deep for me, but I enjoyed the book. There was friendly banter back and forth, but it didn't get super deep for me like I had expected. I think the readers were missing pieces on this book, but it wasn't a bad book. It just didn't got as a deep as the first book in this series. I felt that the ending was quick and rushed, and I couldn't believe it was over. Overall, I give this book a 4/4 stars.
