The Long Run: A Memoir of Loss and Life in Motion by Catriona Menzies-Pike

The Long Run: A Memoir of Loss and Life in Motion

My Thoughts:
As a runner, this book stood out to me as one that I might enjoy, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and read it. Catriona is a captivating writer who writes from a place of experience through loss. She is able to reinvent herself through the art of running, which is where she begins to find healing. As you read "The Long Run" you will some of your own pains or burdens may come up, but you will leave them on the trail if you lace up your shoes and go out for a jog. This book is incredible and will make you look at running and life differently. I truly enjoyed this book and the author's authenticity. Thank you to the publisher for providing me a complimentary copy. I give this book 5/5 stars. A favorable review was not required.
