by John Mason
Everything worth doing is going to have some obstacles. Some people look at setbacks as evidence that whatever it is they've been striving for just wasn't meant to be. But according to bestselling author and master motivator John Mason, the moment most people give up is the moment of their greatest opportunity.
In this inspiring book, Mason gives readers fifty-two keys to never giving up on their dreams. He shows them how to ask the right questions when they are on the verge of quitting, how to avoid unnecessary trouble, and how to keep their energy level up in the face of setbacks. Whether readers are building a business, a family, a portfolio, or relationships, they'll find the strength and motivation to go on, break through, and claim the prize.
"Never Give Up" is a book that I read like a devotional. It has 52 nuggets of truth and the chapters aren't long at all. They are about 3 pages, which broken down is about 5-10 minutes of reading every day. This is a great book jammed packed with wisdom about how to keep going when the odds are stacked against you. I really liked "nugget 34" which talks about how we need to always lift people up. In a society where we judge and criticize others, or we think we know what is going on in their lives, this nugget helped me to see that we need to BELIEVE the BEST in EVERYONE of our leaders! I love how this particular nugget talks about raising up influential leaders in the best way and that they don't need to be recognized by other people, but they are genuinely interested in others, always speaking praise, want to make other people better and have good reputations. This nugget stuck out to me as so many others did. I found this book to speak a lot of truth. I give this book a 4/5 stars. Thank you to the publisher for providing me a complimentary copy.
