A Stroke of Faith: A Stroke Survivor's Story of a Second Chance at Living a Life of Significance
by Mark Moore
About:
Mark Moore always believed he was in charge of his life. All that changed on a beautiful Saturday morning in May 2007. Suddenly he was no longer in control of anything. Though his life will never return to his pre-stroke normality, through this crisis, he has gained a deeper understanding of the centrality of God's role in his life and in all of our lives. A STROKE OF FAITH tells the story of moving from acceptance to surrender and from hope to faith. It reveals God's work in Mark's life as He transformed him from thinking he had everything under control to knowing God has had control all along.
My Thoughts:
"A Stoke of Faith" is a story of miracles, one that will change your life, shift your perspective and make you thankful for every single breath you take. This book is about a man who has had to surrender to God every single plan he ever had for his life to trust the creator for a plan that was far bigger and better than his own. Mark Moore tells his journey through a life-giving way that will make you cry, feel frustrated, but ultimately help you remember your life isn't your own. Your faith will be sharpened, you will be humbled in the journey of Mark's small progress and you will ultimately see that we are all God's masterpieces that are slowly shaping into beautiful art galleries. I enjoyed this book tremendously and found through all of the trials, that Mark was able to hold his faith strong, along with an attitude that loved God. I can't imagine many people who have faced his situation would be able to do so. I want to thank Faith Words for providing me a complimentary copy. A favorable review was not required. I give this book 5/5 stars.
