I don't even want to broach the subject, but I need to be real.. Snow is coming..
As a non fan of snow or rather driving in it, this does not excite me in the slightest! However, what does make me super THRILLED is the idea that Christmas is four month away..
This means.... I'm sure you know where I'm going.. You will start to see Christmas decorations in the stores and not only decorations, but it's time to start reading about some fantastic novels coming your way this fall that can get you all bundled by the fire as you watch the snow fall down from the sky as you sit in your cozy chair with a cup of hot chocolate. I have a lot of Christmas novels that I will be reviewing, so get ready to start seeing which titles will make your Christmas Wish list!
In "Falling Like Snowflakes" by Denise Hunter, we meet Kate and her son, Jack who find themselves stuck in Summer Harbor as their car has broken down. Unable to get their car fixed immediately, Kate is forced to stay in a hotel until it is fixed. However, plans don't go as expected and Kate and Jack are forced to stay in Summer Harbor longer than anticipated, which leads them to meeting Beau and his family. Kate is looking for work and Beau is looking for someone to take care of his aunt. However, Beau isn't sure about Kate and her reasons for being in Summer Harbor. He soon learns that Kate is hiding a past and is trying to protect Jack. Will snowflakes fly between Kate and Beau or will her past haunt her? This book is an easy read filled with interesting characters, depth, mystery and has a deeper story beyond the surface. It has a dramatic flare, with a plot twist and it will keep you on your toes.
