I was so excited on Friday to get out and go running. The weather was absolutely gorgeous.
It has finally turns nice and we were in the 60s. This is HUGE for Michigan. I was pumped. I even ran in SHORTS!
I decided to give running a different spin. I have been hearing a lot of talk about barefoot running, ball- toe running and Zero Drop shoes.
Well, if you know me, I'm all or NOTHING!
I ran 2.5 miles running ball to toe and for the first time, I had no knee pain. I didn't even have to use KT tape or nothing. It was absolutely wonderful. I was stoked. You could even say, I was hooked. However, I felt like an idiot and my strides were very short. The entire time I felt like I was running like a ballerina on her tiptoes. My form probably looked odd, but for reduced knee pain, I was all in..
Until I woke up Saturday and my calves were on fire!!!!
I spent the entire weekend, rolling Icing, stretching, more rolling, more icing and lots of stretching.
I currently had been running heel to toe, realizing that was causing me a lot of problems! Form is critical!!
Q: What are your running mistakes?
