Part 2: Spiritual & Financial Goals

In 2014, my goal is to be a more balanced, well rounded person. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yesterday, I wrote about mental health goals, today I'm going to talk to you about some spiritual goals  I have for 2014.

1. Find JOY!
Over the next year, Drew and I will be writing on a sticky note something we are thankful for, the best part of our day, an act of kindness, the way we found joy or something good we found in our day, in an efforts to seek Joy! We are blessed beyond measure, yet we're always complaining. I want to find more joy, complain less.

2. Read my Bible more often.
Every year my goal is to read the Bible in a year, but this year my goal is to read and understandit. If I finish it in a year, great! But, the content is more important and the person it's shaping me, rather than the goal of finishing it in a year.

3) Give

I want to give more this year. I don't know what that looks like, I can't even define it, but I want to give beyond myself.

4.
Pray. Believe. Trust God for More!

Financial Goals:
Last year, we paid 2 student loans off, managed to pay huge medical bills and are a year ahead in car payments on Drews car. In addition, we made two trips to Flordia, 1 trip to California. We have no credit card debt!

Our goals this year:

1. Pay off Drews car!  ( we are 7 months ahead on his car payment)

2. Pay off another student loan

3. Pay any outstanding medical bills, pray for no more!

4. Pass and pay for my state licensure test.

Wonderful goals...love all of them! I understand where you are coming from with not only reading but understanding the Bible as well. I have that Joy container, too. :0)

Haha! Target???
I used to get consumed with reading it in a year, but now I read for understanding and application in my life.
