4 for 1

I've been blogging for two years, but have been getting more hardcore in the past three months.. My blogging has taken on several facets. First, running, second product reviewing   and third, life stuff with a little Disney flare!

I have been so grateful and thankful for the many opportunities I have had while blogging and hope it continues. I love reviewing products, testing stuff out and giving an opinion . I think that is why I went into social work... Love helping people and giving my opinion.

I've got 4 fantastic books to share with you.. Let me let you in on a secret, i LOVE books! I keep telling my husband we have to expand our apartment or make more book shelves.. At this rate, books will be over taking us! I love it!! It's wonderful!  As I continue to read book, I find it easier to put several reviews in one post.. It saves a lot of time and allows me to draft the post until complete..  As a reader, it gives you a taste of several new books to the market.. I hope you enjoy these new ones!

Confessions of a Control Freak:

How many of us can relate to feeling like we need to be in control of everything or it must be perfect? I know I am the not the only person has has experienced this!

I could totally identify with this book in several areas.
1) I care what other people think.
2) I sometimes hold on old faults of other people and I need to forgive.
3) I want things my way (I can't be the only person)
4) I hate asking for help from others.
5) I don't want to let others take control

This book is a great tool to working out your "control freak" ways and to also learn how to manage some of those unhealthy habits. Ultimately, the more I try to control, the more stress I carry and the less I trust God with everything. This is a quick read for sure! The author is very authentic and just lays it out there! I like that! If you are a control freak or have some habits of control, this might be a book you pick up.. Maybe you know someone in your life who could use this book? Christmas gift?

Gettin Old Ain't for Wimps:

Are you looking for a great laugh? This book is so cute and will make you laugh your butt off. The pictures are so cute! This gift book is full of humor and great wisdom. It makes getting old seem fun!  This book encourages those who are older, to see life as an adventure.  This is the perfect gift for a 50th Anniversary gift or that special grandparent in your life! So cute! I'm gonna give this to my Grandma!

The Hunters Cookbook:

As hunting season is on its way, soon you will find yourself preparing venzen or even a turkey, especially with Thanksgiving around the corner.. Maybe you want to switch up your turkey recipe or you have a hunter in the family, whatever you reason for wanting to try some new recipes, this is your book!
book title front

This cookbook contains several recipes for deer, fish, pheasant, moose, bear, elk, duck, and turkey. Personally, I love deer, fish, pheasant and turkey.. All of these have to be cooked a certain way before I will eat them. My dad is a big hunter and fisher, so I've always eaten wild game. I am excited to make some of these recipes and share this with my dad. Whether you are a beginner or chef, this book makes it super easy!  It even has several dessert recipes and different sauces.. I am excited to make Annie's Apple Pie! I will post pictures when I make some of these recipes!

Dr. Dobson's Handbook of Family Advice:

Millions of people have heard of James Dobson, who is best for Family Talk on the radio. He is known for giving sound advice on how to do family. In his latest book, he simplifies several topics that families face and gives advice in 1 page.

Topics include: boundaries, communication, joy, priories, parenting, motherhood, marriage, emotions, money, grace, health, independence, safety, sibling, compassion and so much more.

This book is not meant to be read cover to cover. You can read it cover to cover, but it is more used as a resource from time to time. This book is great as it it gives a biblical look on many different areas families face today. Overall, this book would be very helpful and would not require you to read a parenting book from cover to cover. Most parents do not have the time to spend hours reading a book. These little 1 minute snip its will help you seek the right answers to solving family problems in a Godly way.

A special thank you to Harvest House for allowing me to review great books! The oponions expressed are my own and I was not required to write a positive review.

The Georgia Family is Whole again

As you may remember, I spent a month in Georgia during the month of July because my Uncle was in Afghanistan and my aunt needed help with her little peaches!

Since I have been home, we have skyped several times and it's amazing how quick kids grow up! Well, Friday my Uncle returned home safely! We are so thrilled he is home and I know my Aunt Jill is very relieved to have him home.

So, I have some cute videos to show you of his return.. This is of the twins spotting daddy and then hugging him! So cute. .It was loud on the base, so you might have to turn up your volume..

video

This next one will bring tears to your eyes.  Paris is 9 months old! She definately knows who her dad is! So sweet!

I was so touched by this video! I am so thankful for my Uncles service to our country. I am so glad he is home and thankful he is safe. I know his family missed him and is so proud of him! I am reminded that God is good and that he works all things together for good! So glad you're back in the USA! Thanks for your service!!!

13.1 DONE!

I'm a little ticked right now at Blogger! It deleted all of the blogs I follow! Um, hello how does that happen and now how do I find all those blogs again??? It's a sad day for this blogger and I such great news to tell you about life... This put a damper on the party.. Well, you may find following your blog again.. WEIRD!!! FRUSTRATING!!

Yesterday, Drew ran his first 13 mile run!! He has officially run a half marathon in training! It is pretty cool! I've always told people if they say "I cant, then you've never tried." People are always full of excuses about why they can't do something, but my husband is living proof of CAN!!! Put your mind to it and your body can do it!!!

The weather was a bit chilly and the rain held off.. Thank goodness! I actually broke out my pants and long sleeve shirts for this run.. As I was putting on my running pants, I was thinking "dang, my legs look like those awesome runner legs I've been dreaming about my entire life!"

When did my legs become so little? I don't know, but I'll take it! Now, to work on the upper half of me! LOL...  Was totally sweating pink on my run yesterday! I can't complain, the weather was great, time not so much, but I wonder if something is going on with my body.. I just don't have the energy I usually do.. I think stress is playing a role on my running.. My body is wearing down. .

This week is going to be crazy insane stressful, but I am going to try and get a few small runs.. Thankgoodness we don't have a long run this weekend. .Hopefully, my body will have recovered and I will be ready for a great long run in two weeks!!!

Last night we went to Art Prize, I am going to post a whole post on it in the coming week, so stay tune...

Finally, I read a book front to cover yesterday evening. I was so tired from the long run, my body just wanted to be lifeless, so reading was the option.

Denis Hunter just released a book called The trouble with Cowboys, which is her final book in the Big Sky Romance series. This is cute a Christian romance without going overboard
Dylan Taylor is charmer and tries to gain the approval of Annie Wilkerson with his smooth talk.  Annie wants nothing to do with him, especially since he is a cowboy. His horse Braveheart is slowly going blind and he needs the help of Annie. Annie is one of the best horse trainers around. Dylan sees an opportunity to win over Annie. Annie is a writer and needs help with a love column. She agrees to help Dylan with Braveheart if in return, Dylan helps her with the love column, something she knows nothing about.. Do the two get together or is this a recipe for disaster? Did I mention Annie has a boyfriend? This story is bound to get a little messy.. If you want a quick read, check this book out!
Thank you booksneeze for this book. The review is my own and honest oponion.

What did you do this weekend??

Blogging Blues

Do you ever feel like you have nothing to blog about? I am feeling the blogging blues today.  It's Thursday which is super exciting! Friday is upon us and I am excited for the weekend.

Saturday we have a 13 mile run scheduled! Let me tell you, I am nervous and not looking forward to it.. I've been struggling with the right pair of running shoes, which I think is causing knee inflammation and irritation. I have been icing and wearing my brace. The brace seems to help, but I still think it has to do with the shoes.. I looked this afternoon and didn't find any shoes, but bought something else... Maybe we will give it another shot this weekend.. SIGH..

Although I didn't find running sheos, I bought this cute purple winter running jacket. Here in the mitten, it gets cold and training for Disney World will have challenges due to the weather. This jacket was on clearance for half off.. I couldn't pass it up, especially since the zipper on my other running jacket is on the fritz!!  While at the running store, the employee informed me she is training for the Disney World Marathon! I was stoked to finally find another Michigander running it!

Also, I have been doing a lot of yoga lately! It is great! My husband and I are taking a class at our local gym. I love how stretched out I feel. I have never felt so relaxed in my life. I have never felt so at peace. It is crazy! I am looking for a great Yoga dvd.. Do you yoga? What DVD recommendations do you have ?

We have also started getting up our fall decorations and Halloween decor.. Next week will be the last week of September! This is one of my favorites! Mickey and Minnie Halloween Pumpkins! So stinking cute!

As we continue to look towards fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner.. Ya know how I know??

This....

My favorite SODA is in stock at Meijer and Family Fare! Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash only comes out around Christmas Season.. This year, it has been stocked early! It's the little things people!! I was so excited to see this.. My husband had to gently remind me I didn't need to buy the store out in one trip and that they would continue to stock the shelf until Christmas!

What is your favorite kind of soda? Do you have any fall races? If you yoga, what dvds do you recommend??

Pumpkin Lover!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a great Monday!
I am a huge lover of all things pumpkin! I love pumpkin bread, muffins, tea, pie, cookies and bagels. If it's labeled "Pumpkin" I am all in!!! Last night on a random trip to our grocery store, I found this! It's so yummy! Do you have any good pumpkin recipes?

Did I mention how excited I am for fall? I am excited for the leaves to change colors. I can't wait to continue long runs in cooler weather! I am thrilled to hear the rustle of the leaves crunch under my feet as I am out walking. I love the change that fall brings. I hate the end of summer, but I can find peace in the beauty of fall.

On another random note about being excited for fall.. I found this awesome glow in the dark nail polish! It actually works too! So cool! Its just a clear coat of sparkle, which means I will have to use a lot...

It's the little things in life that make me a happy camper. I don't need big expensive fancy things to make me happy.. It's the little stuff...

Speaking of little stuff, most people have traditions when it comes to Holidays or seasons.. What are some of your fall traditions? I would like to have some of my own, but I am wondering what people do in the fall?? My tradition with Drew is to get pumpkins and carve them. We love going to the pumpkin patch to get pumpkins.  I also make pumpkin muffins too..

What is your favorite season? Why?

The one with a great WEEKEND!

Friday night we rented the movie "What to Expect, when you're Expecting" and at Jets Pizza!  The movie was so funny.. I highly recommend it and we laughed our butts off... It made me excited for the future and having a baby someday.  I love Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz in any movies..

We then went to our local grocery store, Meijer where my husband decided to re-arrange the clothing department. It was quite hilarious! I was laughing so hard. We returned the movie to redbox and got some snacks.. It was just a fun adventure..

Saturday we woke up and didn't go on a morning run. I have been feeling very exhausted. My body felt drained and I just needed more rest. I could tell I just wasn't myself. We decided to hold off and run Saturday evening, which was awful. I ran 3.1 miles in 40 minutes, which I never run... I was disappointed, but I pushed through it... It was hard, but I did it and we are still on our training schedule for Disney Marathon!

I still can't believe we doing it. .Sometimes I have to pinch myself and can't believe it's real!!! We got this in the mail and Drew was so excited! Disney is coming up soon!!

Today we woke up and went to church. After church we headed over to Drew's grandparents and spend some time with them. We went to Branns Steakhouse for Lunch and had a great time. I talked books with Grandma. She and I share a love for reading..

Speaking of reading, I just finished this great book called "October Baby."
Check out the Video trailer.. I haven't seen the movie, but the the book was great, so I am sure the movie is just as good!

Since I love reading, I have been wanting a lazy boy chair. We went to the furniture store today to price them out and see how much they are. I found this one, it is a rocker too.. I am really excited and maybe Santa will bring me one for  Christmas. I have my eye on this one!

All in all, I had a great weekend! It was restful and relaxing. I felt like I accomplished things and just enjoyed time with Drew..

How was your weekend?? What did you do??

Kisses from Katie Book Review

Having spent some time in Africa myself, I can totally relate with Katie Davis who writes  Kisses from Katie.

Katie is a your typical normal average teenager who graduates from High School with great friends and a boyfriend. She is at the top of her class and can pursue the college of her dreams, but she feels this yearning to be emotionally and spiritually fed on a daily basis.

What she does next is incredibly. She decided to leave it all behind her! She breaks up with her boyfriend, packs up her belongings and move to Uganda. No firm college plans, just leaves America to help out with an orphange and tells her family she will return in a year and then attend school.

After a year in Uganda, do you think Katie returns to the States? No! She can't just leave her  friends and  the children behind her, they need her or does she NEED THEM?
Kisses from Katie: A Story of Relentless Love and Redemption

In her book, Kisses from Katie, we see the life of Katie and how she makes every child feel special, one child at a time. She is remarkable in how she makes each child feel loved and cared for. In this book, Katie talks about how God is changing lives through her heart and what she is doing in Uganda.  She is the hands and feet of Jesus by showing the love of  Christ  to each person she encounters. She talks about some of the daily frustrations she has while living in Uganda and how she wishes she could help out more, but she also shows how one person can make a difference.

She inspires the reader to work towards ending poverty, starvation, educating people on HIV and caring for the Orphaned. She makes it clear we need to be willing, God will provide, but if we are not willing, we will not help.

You may not be called to travel to Uganda or a foreign country, but you may be called to your backyard, your community, your church, local prison or school. God uses people in different ways and he will fulfill his purpose for you, you just need to be open and willing.

I received this book free from Howard Publishing. This is my honest review and this is a book that will inspire you to know one person can make a difference! 5/5 stars for this one!!

To visit Katie's blog go here!!! You will love reading her stories and the life she lives in Uganda.

A Sudden Glory Book Review

Sharon Jaynes who has written several books and is international speaker. In  A Sudden Glory, Sharon challenges the readers with an idea that we can see God's Glory in everything and that our longing to be in his presence can be fulfilled.

On a daily basis, the grind of life can leave us feeling empty. Taking care of the kids, going to work, driving the kids around, paying bills, cooking dinners, working out, returning phone calls, checking email and meeting the needs of others can leave you feeling down, empty and unfulfilled. More than the daily grind, we lose can sigh of the Glory of God because we have a hard time experiencing him and finding him in the everyday situations.

A Sudden Glory: God's Lavish Response to Your Ache for Something More

Have you been pursuing a relationship with God for years, but always feel like your a cat chasing your tail? Are you going in circles?  Instead of asking God what he wants from us, we should ask what does he want for us? I love this!

She also saws another powerful statement.  " God will make himself know, if you live and move and have your being in him." That was so powerful to me.. How many times am I aching for the glory of God, but going my own way?? That statement hit me!

Another thing that hit me in the head was my own personal lack of obedience. How often do we act as if we have all the time in the world to do whatever we want and eventually we will be obedient to what God is calling us to do?? That's a good one huh?

You will love how authentic Sharon is in this book and it will make you feel at home. She writes this book so well and make the reader see how you can find the glory of God in obedience, in the every day pitfall and in the glimpses of Heaven. We need to be able to look beyond the situation and find that God will satisfy our ache. He will give us something beyond the instant gratification and it will be much more glorious.

If you are looking for God in the every day, this scripture based book will help you find the glory of God!

I received this book free from the publisher. The oponions expressed our my own and I was not required to write a positive review.

Pink Swag

I had a rough day yesterday.. I am not going to lie.. When I got home, I opened my mailbox to find my pink swag had arrived!!!

I was so excited about it, I threw my Sweat Pink tank on for yoga!  I was disappointed with the Yoga instructor that I had yesterday evening.. I didn't get my breathing right because she kept rushing all the poses.. My Mondays instructor was so awesome! I felt completely relaxed and my breathing was great! I think this yoga is going to help my brain chatter and help my running! Hoping it will help my pace!

Speaking of running how awesome do my shoes look with those hot pink laces?? They are pretty kicking sweet! It makes me happy to look at my shoes! I love PINK!

I am stoked to represent SWEAT PINK!

Tuesday on a training run, my husband and I shaved off 5 minutes!!! WAHOO! I am hoping tonight's training run goes similar! This weekend our training run is only 3 miles! I think we might push it to 4 and then next Saturday it jumps to 13 miles..

My husband is thinking about doing the GR half marathon!! This would be his first.. I am so proud of his accomplishments to live a healthy lifestyle!!! He even did Yoga with me last night for the first time..

I love being a runner.. I am stoked for the Disney Marathon.. I am sad our families are not going to be there to support us on our adventure. We understand it's expensive, but why does money have to dictate everything?> ugh!!!

How many of you are running Disney Marathon?? What are you training for?? Are you a SPA???

Overwhelmed+ Reflecting on 911

I'm trying to collect my thoughts as I compose this post. A lot has been going on these past couple of weeks and I'm not the best at adjusting to NEW things. I can get easily frustrated, teary and overwhelmed by things that I don't know or are just learning.

My School Social Work job has this huge learning curve! One minute I feel like I am doing okay and the next minute I feel like I don't know a thing about what I am doing. One minute a teacher is happy with me and the next a teacher is yelling at me for not fixing their student... I feel like I cannot make people happy and honestly, I just want to help kids.  I want to do my best, really, it's just hard being 3 days a week. I can't get it all done..

The feelings of excitement are wearing off, which is blamed by the unknown, juggling of schedules, demands, expectations and the feelings of inadequacy. I know it will be okay, but I feel like I keep complaining to people or asking for help because I don't know. I don't want to bug people, but let's be honest, I am new at this! I need help! I don't have it all together and I'm going to do my best..

Sigh.. Just another day...

The one thing I can count on ......

Running.

It make me feel normal, it helps me release stress and I don't have to worry about others opinions, I just do it.  I love how running makes me feel and I am thankful to be able to run despite my own personal health struggles.

Last night, I tried a yoga class and LOVED it! It made me feel so at peace and it calmed my soul. I have never felt like the brain chatter was gone, as much as it did in my yoga class.

As I write this, I can't help but feel a little guilty for complanning. Today, is 911 and on this day I want to remember all those who gave their lives innocently due to the acts of evil.

I want to remember this day as a day where America woke up to the reality of our world and realized we are one of the most BLESSED countries in the world. I want to remember this day and be grateful for all who have served, lost their lives and thankful for their families who have given so much. I am proud to be an AMERICAN! I am proud of my country and the name it stands for..

What are you reflecting on today?

Milestones

This morning when my husband and I woke up, I was MAD! He & I over slept our running alarm. We were supposed to get up at 8am, but didn't wake up till 10!!! I thought for sure we were going to be toast for our 11 mile run..

When I opened the window, I realized it was much cooler outside than I had anticipated. I was so excited! We got out and started running. The breeze was wonderful and we had a good 11 mile run. The last mile was a real struggle because I was so hungry and my knee felt like it was going to fall off.. I could tell my energy was starting to drop and I can admit, I really need to fuel better for these long runs..

I am proud to announce that my husband ran his first 11 mile run today! It was a huge milestone! I am such a proud wife! I am so thankful he has taken ahold of his health and is wanting to become a more active individual. He is truly starting to enjoy running. I am so excited. I am not sure we will ever run a marathon again, but for Disney, totally! I imagine we will stick to half-marathons or a little beyond..

After our long run, we head off to our local running store, so I could get fitted for different shoes. I brought in the pair I was currently running in which was very helpful for the guy who was recommending me running shoes. As we began discussing different types of shoes and the issues I have been having, he suggested a knee band.. I thought I would give it a whirl!

After more talking, trying on several pairs of shoes, he suggested that my shoes still had some life and that I should try running with the band on.. If I was still having issues and my knees were bugging me, come back and get re-fitted for shoes or come to the medical clinic to talk with them because PREVENTION is KEY!!  I was glad that he was honest and did just sell me a pair of shoes because I thought I needed them!

Also, I should mention that I am now a sweatpink Ambassador !! You might wonder what the heck is that???

Let me explain...
Sweat Pink Ambassadors are individuals who love to sweat, love pink and try to motivate people around them to be active, healthy and promote life long fitness. Many of these lovely ladies are experts in running, yoga, walking, Zumba, the latest food craze and are just great people to know! I am excited to be a part of this community.. I am also excited to get some sweat pink gear.. Might have a give-away too...

What have you been doing this weekend???

What do you do with all them books?

Frequently, people email me and ask " what do you do with all the books you review?"
That is a great question! I do a lot of book reviews and do several for different publishing companies! I am honored and love doing it! It seems like a fair question to me, so let me tell you what I do with them..

First, I keep some books! I don't have room for every single book I review! I would love to keep them all, but I know that I won't simply re- read some of  them again. If I review a book and think it would be a great reference down the road or that I might re-read it again, or that I might need it my social work practices, I keep it.

Second- Often, after I review books, I send them to people I know who might need a lift of encouragement. I try to send books to people that I know fits their personality. It's my way of sending a little CHEER! Who doesn't like a little mail?? The good stuff!

Third- I do book giveaways, although I haven't done one in a while, Sorry!  Maybe soon!!!

Fourth- I donate to our church  Prision Ministry! They collect books to bring to inmates.. Now politically you may have different views about people being in prison and that is okay. My main goal is to help people! Whether you've done something awful or you're a saint, you deserve to be treated like a human and everyone should have the opportunity to read! I donate many of my books to the prisons..

I believe inmates should be able to read books from Christian Authors. I believe they should know what is going on in our world. I believe that God does forgive and I believe that he is the only one who can judge them.  I have resources, let me use my resources to help others.

Maybe you have a good organization that you can recommend me donating my books too? Do you do product reviews? Do you keep all the materials or give-them away? What do you do??

It's A Wonderful Life

Do you ever stop and think....

I have a wonderful life......

Sure, life doesn't always go the way we plan... Do you drive a car? Do you have a warm place to sleep at night? Is your belly full of food? Do you some money in the bank account? Do you have a place where you can worship freely? Are you a female who works or stays at home with your family? Are you allowed to vote? Do you have a job? Are there people in your life who love and care for you???

If you responded  Yes to any of these questions you are richer than most. Not by just monetary value, but you're blessed beyond measure. So often we forget how blessed we are. We go through the day comparing about what we don't have and forgetting about what we do have. We forget the rest of the world DOESN'T live the way we do! The rest of the world doesn't have the same FREEDOMS we do!

Speaking of having a wonderful life, have you have ever seen the Christmas Movie  "It's a Wonderful Life?"

Is Christmas not the same without seeing this movie or taking a visit to Bedford Falls for Christmas? The movie goes beyond just the holiday tradition and instead offers reflection of how people can be at the best times and the worst times in their lives.  If you've seen the movie, you know of George and Mary Bailey. If you know of their character, then you know the themes that make up this movie..
52 Little Lessons from It's a Wonderful Life
Well how would you like to learn 52 Life lessons from the movie??

Author Bob Welch offers 52 lessons on faith, humility, spirituality, being kind to one another and finding value in life. The book contains historical film facts and has spiritual references. It has several quotes from the movies and the book is meant to be read a chapter a week for 52 weeks.

This book would be a cute gift book for someone who loves "It's a Wonderful Life." This is a book I would not buy in the store for myself, but could be great for the movie lover!

Thanks to booksneeze for allowing me to review this book. The oponions expressed are my own!

September Goals

Happy Labor Day! I hope you are soaking up the last day of Summer!!!

I wanted to start September off right and be more goal driven. With the new demands of a job in a people helping profession, I need to make sure I take care of ME too!

I have a To Do List a mile long, so I am trying to plow through that with one task at a time. Sometimes it feels like the days come all at once and I am learning to go day by day.. That is all I can do right now..

September Life  Goals:

1)Read this entire stack of books and write blog reviews! Everyday, more books come in the mail! I am not complaining, I would just like to knock out a few reviews, before my next shipment comes at me! I love reviewing products and books! It is a lot of fun!

 2)  Spend more time taking care of myself. Physically, Emotionally, Spiritually and Mentally just taking each day as it comes, stop worrying about what I can't finish and being more grateful for what I can accomplish.. I want to love and enjoy the small things in life.. Like a new hair cut!!

3) Spend more time with this crazy guy!!

4) Setting up a better budget! Getting more out of debt.

5) Spending more time with people and being less concerned about my personal agenda!

September Fitness Goals:

1) Get two long runs in for the month.. Would like to accomplish a 11 mile and 13 mile run!

2) Try out a Yoga class

3) Lose 3 pounds

4) Run 3x time a week

5) Foam roll weekly

I am trying to make my September goals a little more simplistic as the beginning of the school year is always difficult to manage and adjust to a new schedule, new school, new kids and staff...

I have 5 personal goals and 5 fitness goals! What are your goals for the month of September and what is the best way to achieve them?

Running Shoes gone bad!

As a runner, it is imperative to have the best running shoes for your feet. One article I read said the condition of your feet, is the condition your body is in.. Interesting thought eh?? The condition of your feet reflects your health! Hrrm..

It got me thinking.. Every time I get out and run, I am pounding my feet on the pavement and my shoe is hitting that pavement. That puts stress on knees, joints, feet and ankles.. The constant pounding isn't good without the proper shoes.. Every since then, I have spent good money on decent running shoes... I have learned it's not always about price that determines a good running shoe, but more often than not, good shoes are expensive!

I need a new pair of running shoes, but here is the biggest challenge... Finding my shoe size!!! 8.5 is one of the most popular sizes and I can never find my shoe size.. When I go looking for running shoes, the first thing I ask for is what size they have in stock and then I start looking at shoes...

Who wants fall in love with a pair of shoes to find out they dont have your size? How many times has that happened to anyone??? Happens to me all the time!!!

Well, I found these awesome shoes!! I was so excited!!! They are ASICS Gel- Neo 33 High Performance Running Shoes!  They are so comfortable when you put them on, in my size and not to mention pretty sweet looking.. Yesterday, I was walking in them to break them in for my short/ long run today.... What you're about to read may be considered DANGEROUS!

My excited self...

Wasn't so excited after my 4 mile run!

These shoes are AWFUL! My feet hurt the entire time, my knees were on fire and my ankles felt like they might break off! The pain was unbearable! I have never had a problem with any of the running shoes I have purchased in the past.. Even new shoes.. Previously, I might have had to break them in, but breaking these in, wasn't going to make a difference..

My first reaction: was the fact that they are a new pair of shoes, my second reaction: not the right support for my feet... Third Reaction: not for me!

Back to the store they went.. When I returned them, the lady told me others had returned similar shoes in different colors.. I was sad! I am now back at square one looking for running shoes! Sigh..

What size shoe are you?? Do you have the same problems finding shoes?? What is your favorite brand to run in??
