Not my cup of Tea

I had the opportunity to read Beyond Molasses Creek  written by Nicole Seitz. The main character, Ally, 60 years old, overweight woman who has moved near Charleston, South Carolina to pick up the pieces her father left after his passing. Ally has walked away from a relationship with God, but eventually finds faith again, despite all odds.

I am going to be honest and say, I did not like this story, plot line or time line this took place. It took a long time to get into the story and then connect all the pieces. It was a disappointing read and unfortunately, I would not recommend this. It really disappointed me and did not meet my expectations. The author tried to captivate the reader, unfortunately, this story did not captivate me. I do not like to give negative reviews, but this book had some moral issues and things felt so random. I did not like the flow of this story.  I am thankful the character developed a relationship with God, but I did not like the book.

Nicole,
Thank you so much for the opportunity to read your book " Beyond Molasses Creek". While it wasn't my cup of tea, I know that many others enjoyed it! Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post and also receiving my criticism graciously! I can't imagine what that is like as an author. Congrats on running! I look forward to reading another book from you soon!! Blessings, Sarah
