Sweat? Hair?

Do you hate sweat? Do you hate your hair in your eyes?  Let's be real, I hate how sweat pours down my face during a run leaving my hair stuck to my face. I also hate when the wind is horrible and I have hair wisps in front of my eyeballs, it's so annoying! Do you have these problems too???

Have you ever heard of bondi band?

Bondi band is an awesome company that makes colorful and creative workout headbands to fit various personalities and workout activities. They are super stretchy and breathable material, so comfortable!

They also donate 10% of their profits to a charity. Last year they donated to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Another reason to love Bondi band! They do such awesome things!

They gave me the opportunity to review "Put on your big girl panties and RUN"

i LOVE this!! It is so comfy and keeps my hair away from my face! These are awesome!!! They are very light weight, made of wick material and draw moisture away from the face. They have so many logos, colors, pictures and you can even design own headband!

People I'm Tagging

When a Woman Let's go of her Fears

Are you looking for a new Bible Study for your small group? Look no further, I have just the Bible Study, "When a Woman Let's go of her Fears."   The book retails for $13.99

This book contains small chapters with questions at the end of each chapter. The chapters are short, biblical and thought provoking. Author, Cheryl Brodersen shares her own unique experiences in dealing with fear. She is very encouraging to the reader. This book isn't something you can pick up and read in one sitting, but rather take a couple of months reading a chapter or two a day.

Fear can be controlling, crippling, and down right depressing, but Cherly takes the reader though their own journey leading to overcoming fear and finding ultimate peace in their life. This book has been especially challenging and helpful during my own personal season of life. I appreciate how scripture is referenced appropriately and used in a manner to encourage the reader. I can relate to the negative thoughts that manifest into fear. This book has allowed me to check my thoughts before allowing them to manifest into something more than they need to be.

To download a chapter, go Here!! Thank you Harvest House Publishers for allowing me to review this book! I was not compensated for this review, nor was I required to give a positive review.

QOTD: Do you have some fears that need to be buried?

Did you grab it by the Long Horns?

Saturday evening we had the pleasure of spending some good quality "catch up" with our friends Clint and Laura! Clint and Drew were old roomies in college. Laura has been in cooking school and has recently graduated {cheers}. We are hoping the two of them can get married soon.. NO RUSH! Laura is looking for a job... So, if anyone needs a great chef or cook, I can hook you up! In the GR area, that would be even better, then they can be close to us!! (Clint for that matter)

Have you ever heard of a restaurant called Long Horn Steakhouse???
I have never heard of it, until Clint suggested it and I thought why not give it a whirl. The mood was just right and the menu has several options. Steak, fish, chicken, baby back Ribs, soups, salads, delicious baked bread and desserts are just many of the options one could have while dining at Long Horns Steak House. The restaurant was very clean, calming and great service. I was very please with our experience!

More importantly, Drew and I had a great time catching up Laura and Clint. We haven't seen Laura since our Wedding. It was nice to be able talk with her and see what things she is doing. We compared our latest Disney trips and found out that the two of them are pin trading, Disney Geeks! I love it!!!! Overall, we had a great time and look forward to getting together real soon..

Healing is one step towards victory

I've debated back and forth in my head about what I would post for today. Blog posts come easier some days than others. Some posts force me to be honest with myself, while others allow me to be creative. This post is for me.

Yesterday, I ran 4.5 miles and I could care less about my time. What people don't understand is that every mile is a victory. Every time I complete a training run, I feel one step closer to being seizure free. Running never used to be a big deal for me, but now, it feels like a mile stone.

Epilepsy is a physical, functional problem that occurs in the brain.  An epileptic seizure is an unprovoked and unpredictable interruption of a person's daily life. I don't like how Epileptics are stereotyped for being "crazy or possessed." Their is such a stigma today among the work force for people with Epilepsy. Although people are becoming educated about this neurological disorder, it continues to be something that isn't talked about. Personally, I have been in denial and have questioned so many things about being diagnosed with it. I continue to search for answers because cannot understand how an adult can have an onset of seizures.

Anyways, after my run, I got a very bad migraine, (which didn't use to happen until I started having seizures) which led me to giving myself an air shot in order to reduce the pain. I continue to believe God's healing over my body.

February 1st, will mark six months of being seizure free! A part of me believes I am healed and another part of me has a huge fear that, the seizures aren't over. Could the seizures be done? I hope so.

The one thing I know for sure.. Running has everything to do with will power and it continues to give me hope that my body is healing.

Next week, I have a running giveaway, so stay tune!
