If you don't know, I am a huge coupon-ER . I love coupons and look for them everywhere. Constantly, I am saving money, but it doesn't feel like enough..

Drew and I are trying to get out of debt and couponing seems to help, but feels like it isnt enough. We don't even do anything on the weekends.. We never go out to eat or spend money just because..

It is frustrating that are student loan debt doesn't appear any smaller.. Sighs..
Anyways, I love coupons and suggest you start too.

A week ago my bill at Meijer came to $47.82 and the time I had coupons, it came to $11.18!!!
Coupons help!! Go out there and coupon. Let me know if you have any regular sites you check..

Capturing the Storms First Year

I am a person who loves capturing the beauty of life.

Since July, which is when we got married, I have been keeping track on a calendar of our big and small life moments of being married together. I am keeping track of our “first” year together because I think it so special. I am capturing the big, small and life altering moments.  It is cool to look at and I cannot believe we have already been married six months!

Cookin a Storm

I am starting to get my cooking niche..

I whipped this wonderful new chicken recipe, which is super easy and so yummy...

1 pkg Taco seasoning
4 (4 oz) chicken breasts
1 cup salsa
1/4 cup non-fat sour cream

Put chicken & taco seasoning in plastic bag; shake and coat well. Place in
sprayed (nonstick cooking spray) casserole dish. Bake 30 minutes in a
375 degree oven. Top with salsa about 5 minutes before done, then top with sour cream.

I am always looking for easy, yummy recipes! This was so delicious and super easy to throw in the oven. On a bright note, it didn't call for any special ingredients either!

I am sorry I haven't blogged in a while, but I have been spending "me' time. I have been working out a LOT, reading magazines, watching tv and catching up on much needed rest.

I have not abandoned my blog posts, my goal to stay more organized, but I am just enjoying myself...

Exercise is a storm itself

i hate exercise.

i would be lying, if I told you that i actually enjoyed it..

i cant stand the idea of spending my time in a gym with thousands of germs, bacteria, people and  their sweat.
i hate the idea of running on a treadmill, killing the elliptical machine or riding a bike.

I despise the way men stare at women in the gym and vice versa, it's sickening.

I love when I get off the treadmill and my legs feel like they might fly

I thrive when i see the definition in  my calf muscles and my slender soon to be face.

I am ecstatic that my pants are falling off, but i am not quite ready to drop a size yet..

I am thrilled that i get this membership for an entire year and only had to pay the taxes on the membership.

I am excited to see what i look like in three months!

Storm Passes out

Saturday morning, I passed out in the shower.. Luckily for me, Drew was in the bathroom and heard me go down.. I don't remember much other than Drew yelling at me because I was unconscious. I remember feeling very scared because I did not know what had happened.  I woke up with blood in my mouth and realized I had bit my tongue open. Drew was seriously freaked out and kept saying you need to sit down, we need to go to the hospital. I was very panicked, but eventually started to calm down.
And guess what?

I sent my heart monitor on Friday and I had no passing out episodes the entire time I was wearing the stupid thing.. How frustrating.. The day after I sent it back to the company, I pass out.. Go figure!!!! AHHH

Pumpkin Dip

For New Years Eve, I made this yummy dip, which is only 3 points per half cup!
It is a pumpkin pie dip that is delicious with apples, bananna's or any kind of fruit. I had blueberries, apples and pineapple with this dip..
It was a hit at the New Years Eve Party!

15oz can pumpkin
3/4 of brown sugar, I added more!!
1tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp cinnammon
6oz fat free of greek yogurt
8oz cool whip light
1tsp of Pumpkin Pie Spice

Take the First Step into the Unknown Storm

As I look back on my goal post, I failed to mentioned that the underlying goal for this year was to become healthier, which is something I started earlier in 2010. As many of you know I have many trying to lose weight before the wedding and I was doing awesome.

I was running between 6-10 miles a day. Hoping to train for a marathon, cross training like a mad woman, but after the honeymoon, I needed to start looking for a job. Looking for a job became stressful and eventually I was employed full time in a school district and nannying in the evenings, which did not leave a lot of time for running. In October I started running again, but passed out on a six mile run, which left me with bloody knees and elbows. It was then that I started a series of tests and finally led to wearing a heart monitor, which I hate...  Since then, I have not really exercised, but tried losing weight by eating healthier.

Finally, I started Weight Watchers, but was awaiting for the new program to come out. Since then, I am starting my first full week on WW points plus. I am going to start posting healthy recipes that I make.

My husband and I now have a membership to the YMCA.. We have been wanting one for a while.. I really want to take a spin class.  It was super busy when we went today. Some people acquiring information on how much a membership costs, getting tours, filling out paperwork and a full parking lot.

Thankfully, we have two YMCA's in the area, so I get my pick.. I am very excited about doing weight watchers and working out.  I am hoping both of these things will lead to my weight loss goal of 30lbs. I have really struggled with weight for a while now.. I am hoping I can lose 15 by summer.

I know exercise, eating right are important, but I also know this is something I cannot rely on my own strength, but on God. I have always struggled with my appearance and weight. Most people tell me it is the inner beauty that counts, but I have difficult time believing that in a society that thrives on the latest fad diets, millions of dollars spent on diuretics, plastic surgery and bypass surgeries. I've always struggled with this. If you know me well, you know that this has been my biggest personal challenge. Often, it paralyzes me from enjoying life, seeing my full potential, negative thoughts, unhealthy perceptions and unrealistic expectations.

I have read countless  biographies of woman who struggle too.

I am ready for freedom. I know I was made for more.

I need to step out and walk on the water.

No more messy STORMS

As I mentioned in my previous post, this month my goal was to work on becoming more organized. I feel like goals are easier to obtain rather then coming up with these huge resolutions that don't stick. Most people give up their resolutions by the beginning of February.

The desk is much cleaner....

I will continue to organize more areas in our apartment. I am finding a lot of peace in organization and being able to find things.

Goals NOT resolutions because resolutions always leave with the STORMS of life

If we were all honest with ourselves.....
most of us would say.....

we never stick to our New Year's Resolution ..
This year I am attempting

I have decided I am going to pick a goal for each
At the end of the month, I will post about how I been doing on that goal..

The goal for this month is ...
to become better organized.....
Take a look at my desk and it's drawers...

Not clean huh?? Not organized???

Well, stay tuned because for the month of January, I am organizing my life..

One room at a time..
