Goodwill Towards Men

Since I havent been able to do a whole lot because of the snow, I have been on a mad house to clean. I have gotten rid of so much junk. I have donated over eight black trash bags full of clothes and junk to goodwill. Today, I have two more bags waiting to go and even more by the end of this evening. I feel if I cannot go outside then I might as well be productive inside. This friday, I plan to paint my room, or at least touch up the walls.. We are getting another storm.. What is the point of doing anything outdoors? It is too cold!!

Gingerbread houses and Cranky Makers

I must say that last evening I was not the most pleasant gingerbread house maker. I have this tendancy to be very competitive. I was being some what of a debbie downer on others gingerbread houses. I must work on being more encouraging.. It was fun anyways and then it started snowing like crazy. Drew and I took Rachel to Chili's for some chips & salsa. Yum! Chili's is my favorite place.. They have the best salsa.. I highly recommend it and you can get free refills until you cannot eat anymore... It was a fun night. .We even watched part of WALLE!!!

Storming a Night Before Christmas

It is so fun to have toddlers running around in the family.. They are a blast and they copycat every word you say. It is great.. Love it... Bella was very fond of using the word "mine". Have an older brother and younger brother around has taught her the concept of her stuff.. It was cute.. She tried sharing her fake "muke" and "appo juice" with me.. It was very cute. Children always create such wonderful stories. Drew, my mom and I also went to a live Nativity Sunday. It was funny to hear the sheep "bah" and them mis-behave. The holiday offer such wonderful memories. I hope that you and your family have blessed holiday memories.

Here are a bunch of pictures from the Christmas party :)

Christmas Around the World!

Drew takes me out on all these exciting dates! It is a blast. Yesterday, Drew took me to Frederik Meijer Gardens to see Christmas and Holiday Traditions Around the World.

It was so neat to learn about Christmas Traditions from all around the world. The most interesting to me, was to learn about how Austrailia's Christmas is in the middle of the summer. Weird eh? I thought it was just neat to learn that.. In the middle of a hot blazing summer they celebrate Christmas... The concept is so different then from the states when we celebrate Christmas in the dead cold winter. Weird, but cool...

Something else that was so cool was the Baobab Tree from Africa. While I spent time in South Africa, I did see a lot of trees that were Baobab. It was neat to see a piece of Africa here in the states.. It may me miss part of something that I felt became my home.

We even met some reindeer :)

Sam & Katelyn

I have been having a ball with Sam and Katelyn. They are wonderful kids... We have had so much fun! I took their pictures with Santa hats. I am making a gift for their parents with some pictures.

Sam can already walk, but over the last few days Katelyn has been starting to walk. It is great to see her take her first few steps.. Watching children grow up is so neat.

Ho Ho Ho

Yesterday evening, I visted Santa for my second time. I know people don't like lying to their children and allowing them to believe in Santa. I understand people's feelings, but I had a great time visiting Santa today. It was the highlight to yesterdays evening...

It's Been Forever it seems...

I apologize for the lack of posts. With Thanksgiving and my final week of class, I am unsure where the time has gone. I hope everyone had a blessed thanksgiving. I am very excited for Christmas and even more excited for a new year.

Today, Drew graduated from Grand Valley. Although the weather was terrible, today served quite an accomplishment and Drew will now be on to a new milestone in his life. I am very proud of the work and dedication that he has to endure while working full time and going to school full time. He has done a wonderful job and I am extremely proud of him. Here are some photos of today.
