"Whit" "Whit"

If you know her, she is often refereed as "Whit, Whit". She is the more adorable red head girl I've ever known. Often, she is extremely sarcastic, with an energetic vibe. She is a great person and is Drew's little sister. I cannot believe she is graduating high school.. Where did the time fly..

Recently, Whitney injured her shoulder. She has a highly inflamed rotater cuff. She has to now go to a sports doctor. Tonight, was her senior swim night and she was unable to swim, but she still cheered her team on anyways. Whitney has been swimming for six years. I remember when she first was thinking about swimming and she hesitated. I remember telling Drew, I thought it would be great for her and I can see now that it was a wonderful experience. It has given her true confidence and has allowed her to develop into a wonderful person.

She is need of prayers for healing, but also about making a college decision. Currently, she has been accepted into Spring Arbor and is waiting to hear back from Cornerstone.. When I see her, I definitely think of Spring Arbor!! She is a Spring Arbor girl no doubt, but God will call her where he has her..

Here are some pictures from tonight's Senior Night!
Congratulations Whitney! We are so proud of you and all your accomplishments thus far!

My Goodwill Deal

Occasionally, I go to goodwill. People get rid of the best "junk" sometimes. What is ones junk, is anotherS treasure. This was true for my find.

I bought this house for $3 bucks. It was brand new. Never had been open. It will be perfect for the holiday season. It is a fiber optic house. It is beautiful to look at even now when it is not even Christmas time. I am excited for Christmas!

I had been waiting a while to go see fireproof. I would say that it ranks as one of my favorite movies. It is a movie that truly is inspirational and helps put your life into perspective.

Originally, I had thought it would be okay, but after seeing it, I believe it to be phenomenal. I don't think anyone in the theater left with dry eyes. It tugs at your heart and makes you look at life completely differently. It helps you define relationships in marriage and outside of marriage. I think this movie could help restore the broken hearts across America.

This movie is pure genious, inspiring. This movie gives hope to couples struggling.
I strongly encourage people to see this movie!!

Never leave your partner behind.

It has been at least five days since I have updated. I realize that this is not normal for me, but well, I havent had the time really... Grad school is insane and anyone who tells you otherwise, lies.. A lot!!!

I am working on all the homework, plus writing my field application for my internship and trying to start stuff for an international internship.. Nuts.. On top of that, I am looking to volunteer.. I know.. Slowing down is not option.

I would also like to run a marathon...... I am starting to run again.. Welcome to my life.. More updates to follow...

Happy Birthday Lovie!!

I dedicate this post to my best friend, who has been the greatest supporter, encourager, friend, lovie, and my biggest fan. I am so thankful for knowing him over the past 7 years and I cannot wait to see where the next seven years brings the two of us. Thanks for showing me unconditional love and being the kind, caring, compassionate man I care so deeply about.. I am so thankful you pursued me, even when I said "no" what must of seemed like hundreds of times..

The five things I am thankful for about Drew.

1) I am thankful Drew is supportive and is always there for me.

2) I am thankful for Drew's willing spirit and tender hugs.

3) I am thankful for when I with Drew, I feel that he is sheltering me from the world.. I feel so at peace with him.

4) I am thankful Drew is such a hard worker at everything he does. He does not give up easily and has an incredible amount of patience for me.

5) Finally, I am thankful for his uncondional love. It is the kind of love that gets me up every morning and it's the kind of love that gives me peace every evening.. I am so thankful for you, for you are my WALLE!!!

Apple Cider, Home made Jam, Pumpkins

I, absoutely without a doubt, look forward every year in going to Well's Orchard. It is a local business that supplies everything from home made apple cider to huge pumkins that can cost up to $30. It is insane, but none the less, I love it..

This afternnon, Drew visted Wells for the first time. I have been going there every year since I was a pre-school kid. Love this place. .

My 5 things
1) Ice Cubes- Imagine never having a cold drink? Wouldnt that be weird?? I would hate it.
2) Digital Camera- Best little invention ever.. What if you never had a photograph or a keepsake of a special moment in your life? Like a wedding day? Graduation? First child being born. .Would be depressing.
3) Apple Cider- I love to drink this warm on cool evenings. I find it to be relaxing.
4) Cd's- Remember when they were Audio tapes? We've come a long way.
5) A Space Bar- Imagine how hard it would be to type without a space bar. I cannot imagine using a typewriter for hours to write a paper. I cannot imagine not having a space bar. I know type writers had them, but they werent as good, as they are now...

Where did the day go?

Fridays always seem to fly by for me. I think it's my day of getting errands accomplished.. It seemed liked a busy day. This evening I went to mall with Carrie. No luck on winter jacket.. Sighs. .Hope I am able to find one soon.... I have been working on my huge paper due monday. I need to have 30 articles and so far I only have 10.. ahh.. That has to get done this weekend along with a two page paper.. sighs.. Hope, i can get it done..

1) I am thankful for Drews smile. It has the capacity to turn my horrible day into a wonderful day.
2) I am thankful for my dog because she keeps me warm at night and is so incredibly sweet. I wish she was human, so I could hear her talk and see her radiant love. She is amazing.
3) I am thankful for the ability to type and somewhat spell. I could never imagine not being able to express my thoughts in writing with words. It is a privledge to be able to read, write and spell. Often, I believe we forget it is a privledge.
4) I am thankful toes. Toes have the capacity to keep us walking and they give us balance. I would miss my toes.
5) I am thankful for feeling. People who grow older, lose feeling in theirs arms and legs. I am glad I can feel someone tickling me or some one hugging me. I am glad I can feel fuzzy and warm blankets..

A Thankful Journal

I decided that I am not always the most gracious and thankful person in the world. Often, I do not show my gratitude towards people, things, ideas, ect. I was thinking today I would start a journal and write 5 things that I am thankful for daily. This journal would give me a new outlook on life and help me remember what is important.

I encourage you to go throughout your day and write 5 things that you are thankful for. I believe this exercise will deeply impact you and I if we hold to it for a year. I believe that it will have a profound effect on the way we look at life and the lens that we look through it.

My 5 things

1) I am thankful for the autumn leaves and the beautiful rays of oranges and reds colors its brings!(Even though I am not much of a fan of the cold)

2) I am thankful that I have a boyfriend, who is my best friend, who encourages me in all that I do and is a diligent financial provider, who loves uncondiontally.

3) I am thankful for sight. I am able to see brilliant colors everyday.

4) I am thankful for my car. Although it may sound materialistic, so many people do not have them and I am thankful I can drive to places, in order to have my needs met.

5) Finally, I am thankful for books. I love reading and cannot imagine a life where I did not spend time gaining knowledge.

ABC's Extreme Home Makeover

As a loyal fan to Extreme Makeover, it was vital that I go check it out in my own state. Arlene, mother of three children lost her job last December along with her life long best friend, her husband. She wrote to Extreme Makeover and won the makeover. Currently, the family is at Disney World!

Along my journey to the site, i met neighbors, family members and friends. The house is going up beautifully.

While I was standing in the spectator section, someone tapped me on the shoulder and it was one of my friends from Spring Arbor who travled to South Africa last January.. How crazy..
On top of that.. I saw ITC campers too!!!

Going was such a blessing.. I lost my watch :( It has been very special to me and I will miss it.. Sometimes, you have to turn over a new leaf...
Here are some pictures..
Oh, and no TY was not there.. He was in Missippi getting stuff for the house.. But Paiges and ED were there.. I have pictures :)

The House.. Breath Taking.. They had the house already up, painted, flooring and were starting the landscapping on day 3!!

Paige in her pink get up!! She was really sweet!! But super busy...

Ed was going to build a tree house. .He is the Australian guy who cut his finger with the Saw making the wooden American Flag carving..

My South Africa buddy!!!

I love Extreme Makeover!!
